Aims and purposes of the journal
The journal "O‘zbekiston arxeologiyasi", founded in 2010 based on the Samarkand Institute of Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is dedicated to archaeological and interdisciplinary research related to the historical and cultural processes of Central Asia, and is published twice a year. The main tasks of the journal include the publication of current analytical research, the synthesis of efforts from international research projects, the integration of fieldwork results into the scientific discourse, and ensuring a high scientific level of the materials published.
The goal of the journal is to create a unique communication platform for discussing current issues of Central Asian archaeology, as well as to publish the latest scientific news and results of interdisciplinary research in Central Asian archaeology.
The journal is published twice a year, and articles are published in Uzbek, Russian, and English. All articles are accompanied by brief summaries in Uzbek, Russian, and English.
Registration of scientific articles is carried out through the "Registration" section on the official website of the scientific journal www.archeouz.com.
All articles submitted to the journal are subject to mandatory peer review. The guidelines for article formatting can be found in the "Rules for authors" section. Full texts of all published articles are available in the "Archive" section.
Articles that have passed the peer review process positively are published in the journal free of charge.
In accordance with the principle of "open access" the published materials can be freely used: they can be read, downloaded, copied, and distributed. Commercial use of the journal’s materials is not permitted. All materials presented in the journal are protected by copyright.
The journal is registered with the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, certificate № 0592 dated December 23, 2022.
